Wigan Borough Community Partnership exists to provide advice, training and support in maintaining or setting up community groups and organisations across the Wigan borough.

They provide coordinated capacity building that allows the local community and voluntary sector to deliver on social care, health and well-being, family support and social mobility, leisure and culture.

As a partnership, they are able identify organisations that can award grants or social investment to help community groups take off or grow and then maximise the chances of getting a grant or investment by submitting quality bids.

They will act as an interface between the community and the various parts of the Council who are involved with the Deal for Communities Investment Fund and other charitable organisations.

By engaging with the community, public and private sector the Partnership aim to support the recruitment of more volunteers and develop individuals in the good work they do for our community.

We support the Community Partnership as part of our Designer for a Day service serving regular web and social media updates, as well as signage when required.
